Adv. Action expression not working

Hi

I am using Captivate 7.0.1.237 on Windows 7.

I have two variables, Total and Average. I have created an advanced action, CalcAvg as:

Expression: Average = Total / 10

This advanced action is not associated with any object.

I have inserted a smartshape where I am calling the variable, Average using the Format accordion. But this value is not getting populated. I also tried by giving a pre-defined value of 100 to the variable Total. Still no difference in the result.

Where am I going wrong?
