I have created a project using Captivate 6 and published to swf format. The swf file opens fine as required with IE on my PC and when another person accesses it by opening the file from our network location, it works as well.
However when the swf file is emailed to the same recipient, it does not play beyond a certain slide. The second slide has a next button which when clicked on, should go to the third slide, which has a software simulation video recording. After clicking the Next button, the third slide appears, but then there is no further movement. This occurs when the swf file is emailed directly and when a hyperlink to the swf file location is emailed. However if the recipient pastes the link to the file into IE directly it seems to work. Have you faced this issue?
We need to use IE as it is installed on all field PCs. Also it will take a lot of effort to have a media player such as VLC loaded onto these PCs (to play the mp4 video, if published to that format). Windows media player is not preferred.
