Hello. I have a project in CP7 with about 40 slides. Each slide has multiple buttons on it, and only one button is the correct path through the project. All other buttons have error reporting using advanced actions so that the learner is jumped to an error slide, told what they did wrong, and they have the option to go back to the slide they were just one and select the correct button.
this et-up works great into about slide 35. On slide 35, the correct button hangs before it goes to the next slide. this button has an advance action that is checkling the data in a few variables (multiple buttons before have the exact same advanced action, so I'm not thinking it's the AA that is causing the problem...but maybe...). As soon as the learner clicks on the button, it takes about 15 seconds (the slide is only 3 seconds....) for Captivate to send them to the next slide.
The even weirder thing is that EVERY BUTTON AFTER THIS, whether they are correct or not, takes a huge amount of time to process as well. I thought it may be a browser issue, but it hangs on the same button every time. I am not reporting to an LMS at all, so it is not a reporting issue.
I have already deleted the button and made a new one from scratch and I have made a completely new advanced action (with the same functionality, of course) and have used that with the same results. I would make a test file with the bare bones functionality to test it, but the same AA with the exact same settings works on other slides in the project, so I don't think I could replicate the issue if I made a new cptx file with the functionality to test it.
Anyone out there know where I should go or can suggest things to investigate?
