Captivate 6.0 Corrupted/Lost Standard Object Settings

Hello,

As I was doing some final 'tweaking' on my project I noticed my text captions were looking choppy.

I discovered that all my text caption transition effects had been reset to "No Transition".  Only those, thankfully, not smart shapes or highlight boxes or images.

While I was in the middle of reaccomplishing all my transition timing, though, I came across a smart shape that was bloated and out of position.  I had created a flattened diamond to highlight a diamond-shaped figure on a flow chart. The small smart shape was now huge, covering the entire project.  I scrolled down and found the rest of those diamonds in the same predicament, along with every other smart shape I had created (arrows). None of the shapes were used as buttons, and that setting remained the same, but the position and size of every smart shape were completely corrupted.

I had turned on the backup option, but it did me no good since the project and its backup copy both had the same corrupted objects.  I was able to retrieve a copy I had manually saved to another hard drive the night before, so I "only" lost five hours of work.

Is this corruption issue a known problem? I found nothing indicating it.  While I love learning and using Captivate my confidence in the product just got hit pretty hard...

I am using version 6.0.1.240.

Regarding the backup feature, is it worth suggesting that we get the option to create separate, sequential backups instead of one backup that's continuously overwritten?

Thanks!!

TT
