Button wrongfully transitions slide

Hi, I have an issue which I've spent some time on and cannot seem to overcome. I have created 4 transparent square shapes over 4 seperate images which are acting as a button and perform advance set of actions. The problem I'm having is that whenever I click on any one of those image buttons, after the assigned action is performed, the slide transitions to the next slide rather than remaining static so that the user can click on the other images themselves. I have noticed this happens with HTML5 as the output but does not occur when published in SWF format. I need this to work in HTML5 format as the end users are using IE9. Any suggestions? Thanks.
